Bio
I am a registered nurse with a background in emergency medicine. I began my work in Infection Prevention and Control on the heels of H1N1 in 2009. I worked at a large Acute Care Health system that covers a diverse area and spans across 4 public health regions. As an Infection Control Practitioner (ICP) it is imperative to partner with the local health units as well as provide ongoing direction and leadership within the organization. I provided support to staff and leadership during many of the novel viruses that have cropped up over the past 10 years including Viral hemorrhagic Fever (VHF), MERS CoV, Zika Virus and COVID-19 to name a few. I was a member of Executive Committee and the Education Co-Chair on one of the IPAC Canada Chapters for 2 years in 2017. My goal is to provide support to companies/organizations on the development of IPAC policies, procedures and protocols as well as education and training. I will work closely with your team to provide guidance and direction in developing your IPAC program.
